IV. Considerations for watch adjustments
1. The calendar, week and moon phase adjustment of the watch should not be operated between 21: 00 - 03: 00. During this period, the calendar is in operation and the engagement of gears is low. The frequent movements will damage the internal parts of the watch.
2. For the watch with a screw-in crown, first turn counterclockwise to open the locking crown. After adjusting the time, turn the crown clockwise and push and lock it to avoid water entry.
3. When adjusting the date of a calendar watch, first adjust the calendar to the day before the intended date, then turn the hour hand to adjust the date. The date will change when the hour hand passes 12 o’clock midnight, which will avoid the confusion of day and night by directly adjusting the date.
4. The two-hand quartz watch should be dialed for 1 minute ahead during the adjustment of time to compensate for the gap between the magnetic wheels.
5. Generally, the time adjustment for watches needs to be done clockwise, instead of counterclockwise. Dialing the watch counterclockwise may easily cause the directional deviation of the hand of the watch.
6. After the adjustment is completed, the crown must be returned to its original position.
